The Chamber hosts all-inclusive international getaways that offer travelers great pricing on top-notch tours and guides with premium accommodations. Our trips are open to members and non-members. Exciting destinations have included China, India, Turkey, Iceland, Ireland, South Africa, Vietnam, Cambodia, Peru, Japan, Croatia, Scandinavia, Dubai, Spain, Morocco and more.
Our trips depart from Winnipeg, with groups of approximately 20 – 30 people, and are hosted by a Chamber employee or representative. The best part of our trips are the people: we have many repeat travelers in our group and always welcome new ones. We’d love to have you join us. Our trips often sell out, so act quickly!

Who can join Chamber trips?
Everyone is welcome! Our trips are open to both Chamber members and non-members. Whether you’re traveling solo, with a friend, or as a couple, we’d love to have you join us.
Where do your trips depart from?
Our trips depart from Winnipeg. However, we often have people joining the group at our international-connecting city (Vancouver, Toronto or Montreal). Contact our travel agent to get a quote on airfare departing from somewhere other than Winnipeg.
What’s the maximum group size of your trips?
Most of our tours have between 20 and 30 travelers. This creates a friendly, social atmosphere while still being small enough for a personalized travel experience.
What makes your travel program different?

What's included in the trip price?
While inclusions vary by destination, our tours typically include:
- Round-trip airfare from Winnipeg
- Hotel accommodations
- Some meals, as indicated on the itinerary
- Sightseeing and excursions listed in the itinerary
- Professional English-speaking local guides
- Airport transfers
- Transportation throughout the tour
- A Chamber host or travel professional traveling with the group

Do I need to be an experienced traveler?
Not at all. Our group members range from first-time international travelers to very seasoned travellers. Since you travel with a group and a host, there’s always someone available to help answer questions along the way.
I don't have a travel partner. Can I still come?
Absolutely! Many of our travelers join us on their own. It’s one of the easiest ways to meet new people, and many lasting friendships have started on our trips. If you would like to share accommodations – and not have to pay the single supplement fee – please let us know. Sometimes we are able to match you up with someone else looking to share.
Why is the single supplement so high?
Hotels typically charge by the room, not by the occupant. Tour operators negotiate room rates based on double occupancy (two people sharing a room) because that’s the most common arrangement.
For example:
- Hotel room: $300/night
- Two people sharing = $150 each
- One person alone = the tour operator still pays $300
The single supplement covers the portion that would have been paid by a roommate. The amount of the single supplement varies by tour operator and destination.
Will I have free time?
Most itineraries balance guided sightseeing with free time to explore, shop, relax, or enjoy local cuisine at your own pace.
You can also choose to opt out of the day’s scheduled activities and do your own thing, unless it’s a travel day to a new location.
Who leads the tours?
Each trip is led by experienced local tour guides in the destination. A Winnipeg Chamber employee or travel professional also travels with the group from Winnipeg to provide support throughout the journey.
What are the accommodations like?
We select quality, well-located hotels that provide comfort and excellent service. Accommodations are chosen to enhance your overall travel experience.
How physically demanding are the tours?
Most tours involve a moderate amount of walking, standing, and sightseeing. Some destinations may include stairs or uneven terrain. If you have mobility restrictions, please let the travel agent know before you book so you can determine if the tour is right for you.
If you require ongoing assistance in any way, please ensure that you are travelling with a companion who is committed to helping and accompanying you.
Do I need travel insurance?
We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance that includes emergency medical coverage, trip cancellation, interruption, and baggage protection.
Will I need a passport or visa?
A valid passport is required for all international travel. Many countries require that your passport be valid for six months after your scheduled return date. Some destinations also require visas or electronic travel authorizations. The travel agency and/or The Winnipeg Chamber staff will provide guidance and instructions on fulfilling the entry requirements, but ultimately travelers are responsible for obtaining the necessary travel documents.
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?
In most cases, yes. Please let us know about dietary restrictions when you register, and we’ll work with our tour partners to accommodate your needs.
How do I reserve my spot?
Contact the travel agent listed on the trip information. Since our tours are limited in size, we recommend booking early to avoid disappointment.
Do your trips sell out?
Often, yes. Many of our travelers are repeat guests, and our smaller group sizes mean space is limited. If you’re interested in a destination, we encourage you to book as soon as you make your decision.

We have high standards, but we’re still down to earth. You won’t need to pack formal outfits, but you can rest assured we’ll be staying in good hotels.
