Leadership Winnipeg Alumni Event

April 28 at 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm

ABOUT EVENT:

Shared Responsibility, Shared Solutions: Supporting Transitional & Supportive Housing

Presented by Leadership Winnipeg

Join Leadership Winnipeg alumni for an engaging evening panel discussion bringing together business leaders, government representatives, community organizations, and funders to explore collaborative, practical ways to support individuals in transitional and supportive housing.

Building on last year’s homelessness-focused panel, this event moves up the housing spectrum from emergency response to supportive, transitional, and non-market housing, to examine the barriers that persist even after housing is secured, and to identify where the private sector, government, and philanthropy can each play a meaningful and sustained role.

Featured Panellists:

  • Paul Mahon – Chair of the Board of Trustees for Collaborative Housing Alliance and former President & CEO of Great-West Lifeco and Canada Life
  • Carolyn Ryan – Assistant Deputy Minister,  Homelessness, Department of Housing, Addictions and Homelessness, Government of Manitoba
  • Jamil Mahmood – Executive Director, Main Street Project
  • Sky Bridges – CEO, Winnipeg Foundation
  • Jeremy Read – CEO, University of Winnipeg Community Renewal Corporation

Refreshments will be available. This is a free event; bring a tin-for-the-bin in support of Harvest Manitoba.
