AI in Marketing: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly: A Manitoba AI Pathways Workshop
ABOUT EVENT:
AI in Marketing: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
Speaker: University of Winnipeg Professional, Applied, and Continuing Education (PACE)
Artificial intelligence is changing how organizations develop content, understand audiences, manage campaigns, and make marketing decisions. Effective use requires knowing where AI adds value, where human judgment remains essential, and where its use may introduce risk.
In this practical workshop, facilitated by University of Winnipeg PACE, participants will explore real marketing applications through demonstrations, scenarios, discussions, and guided activities. Designed for those with some familiarity with generative AI, this session will focus on applying AI tools in ways that support stronger marketing outcomes while maintaining quality, authenticity, and trust.
By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
- Use AI to develop and refine marketing content for different audiences and channels
- Identify marketing activities where AI can save time and strengthen execution
- Evaluate AI-generated work for accuracy, quality, brand alignment, and risk
- Determine when AI is useful, when human revision is required, and when it should not be used
Participants are encouraged to bring their laptop and have access to a generative AI tool of their choice to follow along with exercises and activities throughout the session.
This event is part of Manitoba AI Pathways, led by the Manitoba Chambers of Commerce in partnership with The Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce and the broader chamber network.
