Compare Your Council Candidates’ Positions to Winnipeg Business Community’s Priorities

We asked the 2026 Civic Election candidates where they stand on our recommendations in The City We Build, our civic election platform, and are now publishing their answers in a public scorecard so you can compare before voting on October 28, 2026.

We provided the candidates with a questionnaire where each question connected to a recommendation from our civic election platform. They could answer each question with “yes”, “no”, “partial,” or ‘unsure’. For each “yes” response, candidates received 1 point; for each “partial” response they received 0.5 points; and for each “no” or “unsure” response, 0 points. The higher the score, the more a candidate aligns with The Chamber’s recommendations for an easier city to do business in.
