Chamber and Junior Achievement Manitoba Form Partnership

Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Dave Angus and Junior Achivement Manitoba President Lisa Grist are pleased to announce that the two organizations have formed a partnership that will be beneficial to both organizations.

"The Chamber is extremely excited to partner with Junior Achievement," said Angus.  "This will allow The Chamber to have greater engagement with students in Winnipeg high schools in an effort to facilitate their understanding of The Chamber and the opportunities that exist in the Winnipeg business community."

Junior Achievement is the world's largest and fastest growing organization dedicated to educating young people about business, economics, and free enterprise.  This year Junior Achievement Manitoba will reach over 8000 students throughout the province with programs from grades 6 to senior 4 taught by over 280 business volunteers in partnership with over 150 classroom teachers.  Programs are offered to Aboriginal, Francophone, Urban, Rural and Northern students in either official language through the generous financial support of various individuals and businesses throughout the province.

"Our partnership with The Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce will allow JA to grow closer to the business community in order to expand our delivery of programs and reach an even greater number of Manitoba youth," said Grist.  "Junior Achievement Manitoba is excited about the future potential and opportunity for growth that this partnership will bring and the impact it will have on our future leaders of tomorrow."
