Objectives 2009-2010                                     

  

To provide meaningful, hands-on community experience, Leadership Winnipeg participants were involved in working with The Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce on its Vision Winnipeg initiative, part of its three-year strategic plan.
  
Participants were divided into five teams and conducted community consultations with the following cultural communities:   
  1. Aboriginal
  2. Francophone
  3. Filipino
  4. African
  5. Indo-Canadian
The Goal: To obtain information and views from each of the cultural groups on their vision for Winnipeg 20 years from now and the strengths, opportunities and challenges faced by their communities.
  

  
The Results: On Thursday, June 10, the Leadership Winnipeg Class of 2009-2010 presented their findings to an audience at Prairie Theatre Exchange.
